ABOUT ME AND EXHIBITIONS

In 2021 whilst contemplating my project proposal for a Masters in Textile Design I was prompted to reflect on my passions and beliefs.  Taking myself back to a childhood in rural Suffolk, I remembered the calm and delight immersion in the natural world provided and how important it was to me.

Today, as we see wildlife decline and the wild spaces on our doorstep disappearing, I feel driven to remind people of the small wonders that surrounds us.

I aim to reignite connections to the wild through embroidery and print, using painterly expressive marks and intricate details to express the beauty of nature’s stories.

My practice is founded on hand drawn imagery translated into textiles, through a slow hand-crafted process, which aims to capture both character and movement.
